Macatan Marbles was once the perfect combination of the local Marbles called Beige which were from the Province of Bulacan. Beige marbles are used for floorings and kitchen counter tops while the Mactan was being installed perfectly for walls in and outside of the house due to its unique but natural design. Until now, these stones are still being used depending on the design of your house.
For me, it is still a good idea to use them because unlike way back in the 80's, more people especially the new generation tend to appreciate this much. I commonly see these stones in old buildings and old houses, the only problem is the maintenance. You must keep it as clean as possible especially if you are located in a highly urbanized area wherein there are lots of vehicles passing by. Theses stones are very easy to get dirty due to its design.
