Although a bit higher than the usual price of the commonly used roofs nowadays, Tegula is one of the best choices for a roof. Tegula has lots of advantages and few disadvantages like the usual materials.
What's the advantage of the Tegula?

• Tegula are very tough compared to metal roofs. We'll I think you have already seen some of the old houses or even old mansions in your area that has Tegula roofs in it. You can see that it is still attached to the house. This material cannot simply be damaged by a typhoon. Should the typhoon manages to break the Tegula, for sure your whole house have also collapsed together with the tegula.
• Tegula's are rust Free- unlike the conventional roofs that are being used, tegula are free form rust.
• Noise Free - Ever experience a hard rain that are very noisy especially when you are watching TV. We'll, in Tegula, you can never be bothered by any noise even when there is someone walking on your roof.

What's the disadavantages?

Tegulas are very heavy. Each one can weigh up to more than one kilo. Imagine your house carrying this heavy material on top of your house. You better make sure to build a strong house.

Laminated Floorings

Laminated floorings is the modern alternative for the wooden Narra woodtiles. Laminated floorings have lots of advantages compared to the Narra woodtiles both on the part of the installer and to the owner of the house. This is made up of either synthetic materials combined with natural elements to produce laminated wooden floorings. Laminated floorings are in the contruction industry for almost 30 years from now. Thats is why many brands of laminated floorings especially those who are pioneer in this are are giving almost 30 years warranty that this product will not fade by itself for a very long time. Even Pergo (a brand of Laminated flooring) claims that their laminated floorings are flooring for life. It was first used in the US and in Europe as a replacement for the Wood tiles because they were trying to look for an alternative to the natural wood tiles since it requires to cut valuable old trees.

Why Should I used laminated floorings instead of Natural wooden tiles?

One main reason is because you can easily predict the outcome of your project if you are to install laminated floorings. Why? Because laminated floorings have perfect design that you may already like. You can choose to the wide variety of designs of laminated floorings.
Another reason is that its very easy to install. An installer can finish a whole room in just a matter of hours depending on the skill of the installer.

Where is the best place to install Laminated Floorings?
Actually, you can install this to all the floor are of your house. It has unique but classic design especailly if you are living in a tropical area. Should you have an elderly on your house, this is the perfect flooring because these materials are not slippery, they are not cold to the feet like the granite tiles which are usually the main reason for the rheumatism of the old ones. • Water resistant but not waterproof
• Its not actually scratch proof especially if it was intentional
• It still fades especially if its exposed to sunlight
• It expands like the wood depending on the weather
  

Since it still has the qualities of the wood, it also have all the disadvantages of the wood. But...if not for some extreme level, it has more resistant to all that I have said above. Example, it is not as combustible as the wood. It can even withstand the heat of the smoke that accidentally fell on it. But I am not saying that it is totally not combustible. Of course everything can be burned. It also usually span depending on the weather on your area. If its rainy season, expect your woodtiles to expand. Same goes for your laminated floorings, it also expand during the rainy season.

How to install Laminated floorings?

Its easy to install Laminated floorings. Even someone who is not an expert or have little knowledge in this things can install this. I'm not saying that is very very easy. All I'm saying is that you dont have to be a genius in order to install this material.

First...I would recommend that you choose to buy the click type instead of the glue type. There are actually 3 types of Laminated floorings, the click type, the glue type and the click and glue type. Anyway, all 3 type are easy to use.

Then make a preparation of the area to be installed. Be sure that the surface of the floor area is smooth and clean.

Prepare the materials, aside from the Laminated flooring itself, you will be needing the plastic and the foam. These materials are usually part of the Laminated floorings when you buy them.

Plan which end you will star. Professional installers usually start in the doorway. Then spread the platic to be on the bottom part. followed by the foam. Be sure to cover the whole are using the plastic and the foam.

Why use plastic and foam? Plastic will prevent the Laminated floorings from absorbing water from the concrete flooring. Its normal woods to absorb water from within the stones so it serve as a protection for the Laminated floorings. About the foam, it shields the Laminated floorings from the impact of your movement. You wont hear anything even when you or your children are running on the installed Lmainated floorings.

Then, start installing. You can easily install it by attaching all ends of the laminated to each other until you installed the whole area of your room.

Take note: The hardest part is on the last part when you reach the walls. You will probably need something to help you lock the laminates. We have improvised materials that we use.

In between the doors and in the stairway area, you will be needing a special laminated materials especially designed for the connection of these areas. It is called T-Mouldings. T-Mouldings is specially designed to be the connector of the Laminated floorings in dorrs, starways and even in the doors between the room and the comform room.

Mactan Marbles

Macatan Marbles was once the perfect combination of the local Marbles called Beige which were from the Province of Bulacan. Beige marbles are used for floorings and kitchen counter tops while the Mactan was being installed perfectly for walls in and outside of the house due to its unique but natural design. Until now, these stones are still being used depending on the design of your house.

For me, it is still a good idea to use them because unlike way back in the 80's, more people especially the new generation tend to appreciate this much. I commonly see these stones in old buildings and old houses, the only problem is the maintenance. You must keep it as clean as possible especially if you are located in a highly urbanized area wherein there are lots of vehicles passing by. Theses stones are very easy to get dirty due to its design.

Granite Slabs are now the most commonly used stone for your kitchen counter tops, center tables, floorings, wallings, and many more. Having a kitchen made up of granite stones enables you to increase the value of your house. My friend have all his kitchen made from granite including the dirty kitchen. He only used china granite for his dirty kitchen while on his main kitchen he used an Italy. Although granites are pretty much expensive compared to local natural marbles or ordinary tiles, you can also gain from it if you'll only focus on the benefit it will give you in the long run. First, granite doesn't need to be replaced. It also doesn't need to be maintained especially if it is installed in your kitchen.
